Trauma is stored in the body, so we use somatic practices to release stored tension and energy. This helps restore the body’s natural rhythms and promotes a sense of safety and well-being. It’s crucial for the nervous system to feel safe and present before it can let go of old patterns and embrace new, healthier ways of being. By focusing on present-moment regulation, we lay the groundwork for deeper healing and transformation.
Healing the past…
Once you feel safer in the present, we use body-centered therapies like Internal Family Systems (IFS) and Compassionate Inquiry to go beyond the conscious mind and address the underlying psychological and emotional causes of your challenges. But we don’t stay stuck in the past or dwell in it; we stay in it just enough to understand how early experiences shaped our current reality so we can heal and transform those patterns.
